Ras Bolding – Have A Nice Day

”The basic idea for Have A Nice Day was conceived late one Christmas evening a couple of years ago when everyone else had gone to bed. It is, I guess, a rather misanthropic affair about how, in this world, people seem to hate, buy and kill each other, and all you’re left to do is suffer in silence, put on the smile and have a nice day. ’The whites hate the blacks, the nazis hate the Jews, they all hate the faggots, and who hates you?’ – These days Europe is facing a refugees crisis and I see even some people from our subculture airing racist opinions, even people who used to go to my concerts, and I wonder if they ever listened to what I was singing. But it saddens and worries me because, in my opinion, our subculture was always very much about tolerance, about your right to be who you are, whether that means fucking another guy up the ass, dying your hair purple or just liking Sisters Of Mercy. Kermit taught us it’s not easy being green, so take it from Yoda, he knows – fear does breed hatred. This is also why I very much support the idea of you Swedes doing a project about subculture and tolerance – it’s an important lesson that needs to be delivered to each new generation. Oh, and sorry about the Stockholm Bloodbath.”
